How much water should you drink a day?

30 ml for every kilo you weigh, not a flat two litres for everybody. Enter your weight and get your day in litres and glasses — the rule the Healthness app sets your water goal with.

Units

Water a day

2.1 l

about 8 glasses of 250 ml

Why it matters

  • Energy and focus

Even mild dehydration is commonly linked to tiredness, headaches and a harder time concentrating. A glass of water is the easiest thing to try first.

  • It carries a fast

Between meals, water is the one thing you have freely. A full glass in the morning is part of the day the app is built around.

  • Sized to you

Someone at 55 kg and someone at 95 kg don’t need the same amount. A flat two litres is too much for one and too little for the other.

Healthness keeps count for you.

The goal comes from your weight and moves with it. A glass is one tap — 200, 250, 330, 500 or 750 ml — and water sits beside movement on the home screen: the two things you can win during a fast.

Is Healthness medical advice? No. It is an educational tracking tool. Fasting is not right for everyone — if you are pregnant, diabetic, on medication, or have a history of disordered eating, talk to your doctor before changing how you eat.
